Chuy’s Holdings (NASDAQ:) then rose 47% Darden Restaurants (NYSE:) has announced a definitive agreement under which Darden will acquire all outstanding shares of Chuy’s for $37.50 per share in an all-cash transaction with an enterprise value of approximately $605 million.
Equifax (NYSE:) fell 1% despite beating consensus expectations for second-quarter earnings per share and revenue, as third-quarter projections fell short of estimates. The company maintained guidance for full-year 2024 with average revenue expectations of $5.72 billion and adjusted earnings per share of $7.35.
Alcoa (NYSE:) rose 1.5% after earnings per share were slightly better than expected, a week after issuing a profit warning.
Kinder Morgan (NYSE:) fell 2.6% after reporting disappointing second-quarter results. Management noted the low prices for natural gas.
Beyond meat (NASDAQ:) plunged 14% after people familiar with the matter told the Wall Street Journal that the company has been talking to bondholders about a possible balance sheet restructuring.
