Investing.com – Taiwanese stocks were higher after Friday’s close as gains in the , and sectors pushed shares higher.
At the close in Taiwan, the price rose 0.43% and reached a new one-month high.
The best performers of the session on the stock market were Arima Communications Corp (TW:), which rose 350.24% or 7.39 points to trade at 9.50 at the close. Meanwhile, CX Technology Corp (TW:) added 9.97% or 3.15 points to end at 34.75 and Holtek Semiconductor Inc (TW:) rose 9.95% or 4.75 points to 52.50 in late trading.
The worst performers of the session were Lead data Inc (TW:), which fell 9.85% or 0.39 points to trade at 3.57 at the close. Asia Optical Co Inc (TW:) fell 9.51% or 12.50 points to end at 119.00 and Formosa Oilseed Processing Co Ltd (TW:) fell 7.53% or 11.00 points to 135.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered rising stocks on the Taiwan Stock Exchange.
Shares in Arima Communications Corp (TW:) rose to a three-year high; gain from 350.24% or 7.39 to 9.50. Shares in CX Technology Corp (TW:) rose to a 52-week high; increases by 9.97% or 3.15 to 34.75.
Crude oil for November fell 0.28%, or 0.19, to $67.48 per barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent crude for December delivery fell 0.31%, or 0.22, to $70.87 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.23%, or 6.10, to $2,688. 80 per troy ounce.
USD/TWD rose 0.06% to 31.71, while TWD/CNY was unchanged 0.09% to 0.22.
US Dollar Index Futures rose 0.31% to 100.56.
