Investing.com – Taiwanese stocks were lower after Thursday’s close as losses in the , and sectors dragged shares lower.
At the close in Taiwan, interest rates fell 0.64%.
The best performers of the session on the stock market were ALi Corp (TW:), which rose 9.97% or 2.85 points to trade at 31.45 at the close. In the meantime, Loga Technology Corp (TW:) added 8.65% or 0.64 points to end at 8.04 and Tai Roun Products Co Ltd (TW:) rose 8.36% or 1.40 points to 18.15 in the late trading.
The worst performers of the session were Chia Hair Industrial Co Ltd (TW:), which fell 9.95% or 2.90 points to trade at 26.25 at the close. Arima Communications Corp (TW:) fell 9.94% or 2.60 points to end at 23.55 and Formosa Oilseed Processing Co Ltd (TW:) fell 9.91% or 7.60 points to 69.10.
Falling stocks outnumbered rising stocks on the Taiwan Stock Exchange.
Shares in Tai Roun Products Co Ltd (TW:) rose to a 52-week high; increase from 8.36% or 1.40 to 18.15.
January crude oil deliveries rose 0.21%, or 0.15, to $70.44 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent crude for February delivery rose 0.31%, or 0.23, to $73.75 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.34%, or 9.29, to $2,747. 41 per troy ounce.
USD/TWD fell 0.29% to 32.41, while TWD/CNY was unchanged 0.27% to 0.22.
US Dollar Index Futures fell 0.13% to 106.25.
