(Reuters) – The leader of Russia’s Chechnya region, Ramzan Kadyrov, published a video on Saturday of himself driving a Tesla Cybertruck with what appears to be a machine gun mounted on it, saying he would send it to the conflict zone in Ukraine.
Kadyrov, known for his extravagant publicity stunts, praised both the vehicle and the car Tesla motors (NASDAQ:) CEO Elon Musk on the messaging app Telegram, called him the “strongest genius of the modern age” and invited Musk to Chechnya.
“We are waiting for your future products that will help us complete the special military operation,” Kadyrov wrote, using the official term Russia uses to describe its war in Ukraine.
There was no immediate comment from Tesla.
