Investing.com – Portuguese shares were higher after Tuesday’s close as gains in the , and sectors pushed shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the price rose by 0.45%, reaching a new one-month high.
The best performers of the session on the exchange were Ibersol SGPS (ELI:), which rose 3.35% or 0.24 points to trade at 7.40 at the close. In the meantime, Semapa (ELI:) added 1.84% or 0.26 points to end at 14.40 and Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI:) rose 1.74% or 0.01 points to 0.41 in late trading.
The worst performers of the session were EDP Renovaveis (ELI:), which fell 0.78% or 0.11 points to trade at 14.06 at the close. Corticeira Amorim (ELI:) fell 0.56% or 0.05 points to end at 8.87 and EDP Energias de Portugal SA (ELI:) fell 0.55% or 0.02 points to 3.78.
On the Lisbon Stock Exchange, rising stocks outnumbered falling stocks by 20 to 10, with 5 ending unchanged.
Shares of Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI:) rose to a five-year high; gain of 1.74% or 0.01 to 0.41.
Brent crude for November fell 1.84% or 1.48 to $78.88 per barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, crude oil for October delivery fell 2.12% or 1.64 to $75.78 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.38% or 9.60 to $2,545.60 per troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.01% to 1.12, while EUR/GBP was unchanged 0.31% to 0.84.
US Dollar Index Futures fell 0.09% to 100.65.
