Investing.com – Polish shares were lower after Thursday’s close as losses in the , and sectors dragged shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, shares lost 0.20%.
The best performers of the session on the were Text SA (WA:), which rose 8.62% or 4.80 points to trade at 60.50 at the close. In the meantime, Asseco Poland SA (WA:) added 4.53% or 3.90 points to end at 90.00 and Alior Bank SA (WA:) rose 2.25% or 2.02 points to 91.94 in late trading.
The worst performers of the session were CCC SA (WA:), which fell 7.86% or 17.20 points to trade at 201.60 at the close. Jastrzebska Spotka Weglowa SA (WA:) fell 1.81% or 0.47 points to end at 25.53 and Pepco Group Nv (WA:) fell by 1.77% or 0.28 points to 15.86.
The number of falling shares exceeded rising shares on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 271 against 218 and 109 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January fell 0.04%, or 0.03, to $68.69 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent crude for February delivery rose 0.04% or 0.03 to $72.33 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.02% or 0.60 to $2,665. 40 per troy ounce.
EUR/PLN rose 0.19% to 4.31, while USD/PLN rose 0.28% to 4.08.
US Dollar Index Futures rose 0.11% to 106.16.
