Investing.com – Italian stocks were higher after Wednesday’s close as gains in the , and sectors pushed shares higher.
At the close in Milan, shares gained 1.42%.
The best performers of the session on the exchange were STMicroelectronics (BIT:), which rose 3.28% or 1.33 points to trade at 41.73 at the close. In the meantime, Ferrari NV (BIT:) added 3.00% or 11.50 points to end at 394.40 and A2A SpA (BIT:) rose 2.86% or 0.05 points to 1.92 in late trading.
The worst performers of the session were Telecom Italy (BIT:), which is unchanged at 2.11% or 0.00 points and trading at 0.22 at the close. Leonardo SpA (BIT 🙂 fell 1.93% or 0.45 points to end at 22.86 and Tenaris SA (BIT:) fell 0.97% or 0.14 points to 14.81.
On the Milan stock exchange, rising shares outnumbered falling shares by 322 to 194 and 32 ended unchanged.
July crude oil deliveries rose 0.59%, or 0.46, to $78.36 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent crude for August delivery rose 0.57% or 0.47 to $82.39 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 1.04% or 24.20 to $2,350.80 per troy ounce.
EUR/USD rose 1.00% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP was unchanged 0.17% to 0.84.
US Dollar Index Futures fell 1.23% to 103.90.
