The best artists of the session on the were Heineken (AS:), which rose 1.14% or 0.92 points to trade at 81.54 at the close. Meanwhile, Koninklijke Ahold Delhaize NV (AS:) added 1.02% or 0.31 points to end at 30.62 and ABNAMRO Group NV (AS:) rose 1.01% or 0.16 points to 15.54 in late trading.
The worst performers of the session were ASR Nederland NV (AS:), which fell 1.92% or 0.88 points to trade at 45.01 at the close. ArcelorMittal SA (AS:) fell 1.00% or 0.21 points to end at 20.80 and BE Semiconductor Industries NV (AS:) fell 0.76% or 0.90 points to 118.20.
The number of falling shares outnumbered rising shares on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 56 to 47 and 12 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for October fell 2.08%, or 1.61, to $75.81 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent crude for November delivery fell 1.83% or 1.47 to $78.89 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.38% or 9.70 to $2,545. 50 per troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.01% to 1.12, while EUR/GBP was unchanged 0.31% to 0.84.
