Investing.com – Dutch stocks were higher after Friday’s close as gains in the , and sectors pushed shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the price gained 0.04%, reaching a new all-time high.
The best performers of the session on the stock market were BE Semiconductor Industries NV (AS:), which rose 2.85% or 4.10 points to trade at 147.75 at the close. Meanwhile, ASM International NV (AS:) added 1.81% or 12.20 points to end at 687.40 and ABNAMRO Group NV (AS:) rose 1.17% or 0.19 points to 15.99 in late trading.
The worst performers of the session were DSM Firmenich AG (AS:), which fell 1.89% or 1.92 points to trade at 99.78 at the close. Universal Music Group NV (AS:) fell 1.43% or 0.41 points to end at 28.23 and Randstad NV (AS:) fell by 1.10% or 0.53 points to 47.48.
The number of falling shares outnumbered rising shares on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 53 to 42 and 15 ended unchanged.
Shares in ASM International NV (AS:) rose to record highs; rises by 1.81% or 12.20 to 687.40.
The , which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, remained unchanged at 0.00% at 21.09.
Crude oil for July fell 0.23%, or 0.17, to $75.38 per barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent crude for August delivery fell 0.41% or 0.33 to $79.54 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 2.82% or 67.50 to $2,323.40 per troy ounce.
EUR/USD fell 0.73% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP was unchanged 0.25% to 0.85.
US Dollar Index Futures rose 0.73% to 104.82.
