Meanwhile, Cementos Argos Pf (BVC:) added 7.71% or 570.00 points to end at 7,960.00 and Cementos Argos SA (BVC:) rose 7.27% or 630.00 points to 9,300.00 in the late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Bancolombia SA (BVC:), which fell 2.45% or 980.00 points to trade at 39,000.00 at the close. Mineros SA (BVC:) fell 1.79% or 70.00 points to end at 3,830.00 and Grupo Aval Acciones y Valores SA Pref (BVC:) fell 1.30% or 6.00 points to 456.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered rising stocks on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
Shares in Cementos Argos SA (BVC:) rose to a five-year high; increasing by 7.27% or 630.00 to 9,300.00.
U.S. Coffee C for March rose 2.44%, or 7.22, to $302.92. Elsewhere in commodities trading, U.S. cocoa for March delivery rose 3.58% or 309.00 to $8,944.00, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.36% or 36.40 to $2,711.30 per troy ounce.
USD/COP rose 0.67% to 4,419.60, while BRL/COP rose 0.91% to 761.84.
US Dollar Index Futures rose 0.49% to 107.46.
