Investing.com – Brazilian stocks were higher after Monday’s close as gains in the , and sectors pushed stocks higher.
At the close in Sao Paulo, the price rose 0.13%.
The best performers of the session on the exchange were Ultrapar Participacoes SA (BVMF:), which rose 3.34% or 0.77 points to trade at 23.79 at the close. Meanwhile, MRV Engenharia e Participacoes SA (BVMF:) added 2.66% or 0.20 points to end at 7.73 and Metalurgica Gerdau SA (BVMF:) rose 2.19% or 0.23 points to 10, 71 in late trading.
The worst performers of the session were Azul SA Pref (BVMF:), which fell 8.33% or 0.37 points to close at 4.07. CVC Brazil ON (BVMF:) fell 4.74% or 0.09 points to end at 1.81 and CSN Mineracao SA (BVMF:) fell 4.37% or 0.27 points to 5.91.
The number of declining stocks outnumbered rising stocks on the B3 Stock Exchange by 491 to 452, with 59 ending unchanged.
Shares in Azul SA Pref (BVMF:) fell to an all-time low; fell by 8.33% or 0.37 to 4.07.

December gold futures rose 0.40%, or 10.15, to $2,534.75 per troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, crude oil for October delivery rose 1.48%, or 1.00, to $68.67 a barrel, while the December U.S. Coffee C contract rose 3.78%, or 8.93, to $244. 93.
USD/BRL fell 0.26% to 5.58, while EUR/BRL fell 0.44% to 6.16.
US Dollar Index Futures rose 0.43% to 101.58.
