(Reuters) – Amazon.com (NASDAQ:) ad executive Colleen Aubrey, a member of the elite internal team that advises the CEO, is moving to a new, undisclosed role at the company.
Spokeswoman Kristin Mariani said Aubrey’s new position would be announced later. She held the role for almost three years.
Aubrey is a member of the so-called ‘S-team’, which advises CEO Andy Jassy, and has worked at Amazon for almost twenty years. Mariani confirmed that Aubrey is stepping aside as senior vice president of advertising products and technology in response to a Reuters investigation.
Mariani did not respond to questions about who will replace Aubrey or the reasons behind the change. Ad sales under Aubrey have grown rapidly, increasing 24% from $38 billion in 2022 to $47 billion in 2023. The company recently started inserting ads into its Prime Video streaming offering.
“An update on Colleen’s next role will be shared at a later date,” Mariani said in an email. Aubrey did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
